After two days of berating myself for my stupidity last week (incidentally, further examination of the squashed part reveals that not only is it deformed, it also now sports a part number marking from the piece I was using under it as a support…apparently, several tons of pressure will do that…), and two days of our crew standing around with ( Read more... )

Lesson learned on Friday: 
If:
(bf)= brute force (in the form of a hydraulic press)
and:
(i)= ignorance (in the form of me)
then:
bf+i= pancaked part and one week project delay.

It was a bad day.  Here's hoping I will have all of the guilty feelings out of my system by tomorrow morning and be ready to move on- bring a positive attitude with me again, ( Read more... )
